Quest guide

Math Quest

Math Quest started as times-tables mastery and grew into seven skills covering most of NAPLAN numeracy for Years 3–6. Every skill runs on the same learning engine. Only the questions differ.

The seven skills

SkillWhat your child practisesAnswer Style
Times tables2-12 tables (extendable to 20), the foundation everything else leans onTyped
Number NinjaMissing-number equations: ? + 38 = 90, 6 × ? = 54, 72 ÷ 8. Algebraic thinking without the xTyped
Place Value PeaksBuild, round, expand and compare big numbers, with labelled digit columns (Th H T O) built into the question so no working-out paper is neededTyped + Tap
Fraction BridgeFraction of an amount, equivalents, comparisons, with shaded bars; Years 5-6 add decimals and percentagesTyped + Tap
Data DetectiveUnit-block graphs (count the blocks, no axes): most, fewest, how many more, totals, rangeTyped + Tap
Chance LabMarble-bag probability: most likely, certain/likely/unlikely/impossible, fractions of the bagTap
Measure MissionUnit conversions, perimeter and area on a labelled rectangle, 24-hour time, elapsed minutesTyped + Tap

Year levels, handled quietly

Content follows the profile's school year and the Australian Curriculum: Years 3-4 begin with 4-digit numbers and unit fractions; Years 5-6 extend into larger numbers, non-unit fractions, decimals, percentages, range and probability as fractions. Set the year once and the generators do the rest.

Deliberate design choices

Modes

Adventure mixes all seven skills (tables ~40%). Rocket Round and Beat the Clock are tables-only speed checks. Boss Battle hunts current weaknesses across every skill. Table Focus and Fact Focus drill one table or one tapped fact. Tricky Rematch replays what was just missed. Details in the Adaptive Picker.
